On Behalf of the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Sacramento & Northeastern California, we wish to thank everyone for making the 2008 Vintage Fridays Car Shows. The amazing $8,230.00 donation to Make-A-Wish helped support us continue our mission of granting wishes to children with life threatening medical conditions with Hope, Strength and Joy.
Wish child, Jonathan, who is 5 years old loves Winnie the Pooh and Elmo. He often speaks Pooh's name several times a day. So where else would a fan of Pooh's want to go but to Disney World to see all of his favorite Disney characters. Jonathan's disease is called Hydrocephalus but this energetic only child loves to sing and play with his truck which the Make-A-Wish volunteers brought him to play with during their visit. As his Mom pointed out that Jonathan is "their little miracle" and his miracle trip to Disney World was a dream come true.
